New York City Goodwill and Uber Partner for Donation Delivery

Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey (Astoria) recently engaged in an exclusive partnership with the popular ride-sharing app Uber. In OH, Goodwill® Recycling Partnership Diverts 400,000 Pounds of Waste from Landfills

As part of a recycling partnership between Zanesville Welfare Organization and Goodwill Industries (OH) and CertainTeed’s Moundsville, WV, gypsum manufacturing facility, employees at the plant diverted more than 400,000 pounds of waste from landfills since last year. While recycling began shortly after the plant opened in 2008, the collaboration began in 2011.

NE Goodwill Donation Campaign Strengthens Community

Six Lincoln, NE, neighborhoods donated nearly 18,000 pounds of clothing, furniture and household items to Goodwill Industries Serving Southeast Nebraska during its Neighborhood Challenge this summer. From May 26 to July 6, the Goodwill® hosted a friendly competition to encourage neighborhood associations to donate garage sale leftovers and other household items to Goodwill. The top three neighborhoods received funding for neighborhood-improvement projects.
