National Economy

Mexico is the world’s 12th-most populous nation, with about 111.2 million citizens. Although the nation has a trillion-dollar economy, the per-person income is about one-third of the United States’, according to the CIA World Factbook. Income distribution in the country is also very uneven, but the Mexican government has recently focused on reducing poverty and creating jobs.
