What takes a plain white shirt and jeans to the next level? A bandana! Knot this easy accessory around your neck to add a little retro flair to any outfit just like in this look shared on Goodwill Industries of Western New York, Inc. (Buffalo)’s Facebook page. I love how this gal has put four really basic pieces together to create an effortlessly stylish ensemble. It isn’t something I would have thought of on my own, but it looks so comfortable and cute that now I feel like I need to try it. By shopping at and donating to Goodwill, I’ll help provide job training and placement opportunities for individuals in my community, so that’s how I plan to track down the pieces for this look!

Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey, Inc. (Astoria) has more ideas for styling a bandana like, for example, wearing it as a crown. That’s such a great trick to keep up your sleeve since it doubles as a solution for a bad hair day. Or, paired with a leather jacket and folded in half around the neck, a bandana can appear edgy. You can even use it as an accessory for your accessories to keep a hanky handy for surprise situations where a napkin is nowhere to be found. Make sure you check out the post for the rest of Suma’s simple and stylish ideas!

It’s almost Independence Day! Are you ready to dress up your home for the festivities? Try this quick and easy door decor idea from blogger Cathi of Scratch and Stitch! In addition to a blue bandana, look for red fabric, white lace, a wooden dowel, and twine during your thrift shop adventures. Piece them together according to her instructions using metal studs to hold everything in place while also adding a bit of star-like sparkle. With DIY appeal, this project could help keep little hands busy and will certainly add a patriotic charm to your home.

What’s your favorite way to style a bandana? Whether you want them to keep the hair off of your neck on sweaty days or to decorate your front door before the fireworks, don’t forget to check your local Goodwill first. For the second year in a row now, Goodwill has topped the list for enso’s World Value Index meaning that it’s the #1 brand that resonates with peoples’ values and a great organization to support while you shop for summertime accessories.
