Volunteers are vital to the success of Goodwill Industries of Pittsburgh’s Elderberry Junction, a day center for retired people with developmental disabilities who want to stay active in the community. Volunteers generate new ideas for activities— from bowling and bingo, to birthday dinners — and help prepare and coordinate the various activities, accompany the group on community trips, and assist with parties and luncheons.
