At Goodwill Columbus (OH), the Volunteers Express program provides services to adults with physical disabilities so that they can be more independent and involved in the community. Over 75 percent of the participants have a visual impairment or are totally blind. The program matches each participant with a volunteer who may assist with transportation, shopping, running errands, reading mail, preparing food, or doing light housework.
