Rockville, MD – Goodwill Industries International® has named Steve Krotonsky to position of chief operations officer effective immediately. Krotonsky will oversee Goodwill’s® three core services/business areas: donated goods/retail, mission and business impact, and contracts and new business development.
Krotonsky has more than 20 years of experience as a business development expert and an operations leader. He has served as director of system development at ARAMARK®, a leading food services company and one of Fortune® magazine’s, most admired companies. He also served as vice president for HARCO Industries®, a company that developed campus-wide card systems for seven of the eleven Big Ten schools, which later became AT&T® Campus Wide Access Solutions. Krotonsky went on to become the vice president of sales and marketing at National Industries for the Blind (NIB)®, where he doubled NIB’s and its agencies’ AbilityOne contracts from $224 million to $426 million in five years. During his tenure, Krotonsky was recognized for his leadership and outstanding contributions, including increasing employment opportunities and upward mobility for people who are blind.
After a brief retirement from NIB, Krotonsky was asked to be the program director of the Digital Data Scan™ (DDS) program and lead the social entrepreneurial opportunities it presented for businesses across the country and for people who are blind, including three fully operational programs now in Phoenix, Ft. Worth and San Francisco.
Goodwill offered Krotonsky the opportunity based on his reputation as a successful manager of mission driven organizations.

Krotonsky’s other achievements include awards for his work with SKILCRAFT™, a powerhouse brand that has created jobs for 5,000 people who are blind and working for local agencies in 44 states. Krotonksy received the SKILCRAFT “Man of the Year” Award.
Krotonsky earned his bachelor’s degree from the Pennsylvania State University with a major in Business Administration and a minor in Finance.
