D.C. Area Business Leader to Chair Goodwill Industries International Board of Directors

Larry Ishol to Lend Strategic Vision to Goodwill® Board

Rockville, MD — The Goodwill Industries International board of directors has elected Larry Ishol, a partner at Deloitte LLP, as the chairman of its board. Ishol took office during the annual Goodwill meeting of executives and board leaders held recently in Austin, TX, and will serve a one-year term.
Ishol has more than 30 years of experience in the fields of risk management, finance, accounting and auditing.
Ishol previously served as the chair of Goodwill’s Audit Committee, chair of its Strategic Issues and Planning Committee and vice chair of the board. In 2014, he led the GII board’s engagement in aspirational visioning for 2024 in preparation for strategic planning in 2015. He has been on the board for four years.
A highly engaged community leader, Ishol has held multiple board positions for civic and charitable organizations, and currently serves on the board of the Children’s Hospital Foundation in Washington, D.C. In addition to board participation, he has served on numerous committees, participated in volunteer organizations, and has a long history of supporting of nonprofit boards and related activities.
Ishol earned his undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of South Dakota in 1979. Ishol is married to his wife, Cindy, of 29 years, and currently resides in Potomac, MD with their daughter, Emma.
