WHO: Goodwill of Greater Washington (DC) will collect donations of gently used clothing and household goods from the public during FLW Outdoors tournament at the National Harbor. The donations will be sold at local Goodwill® retail stores, where the revenues will fund job training programs, and career and other community-based services.
“The Goodwill and FLW Outdoors partnership allows people to donate items they no longer need and help people with disabilities and disadvantages in their local communities,” said Catherine Meloy, president and CEO of Goodwill of Greater Washington. “Each donation will support Goodwill’s vital employment and career services in the Washington, DC, area to help people find jobs, earn paychecks and strengthen their families.”
WHAT: Goodwill Industries® and FLW Outdoors have partnered to increase awareness of Goodwill’s job training and programs that support career advancement. Goodwill is represented by professional angler Chad Grigsby. Grigsby will be present at the Goodwill booth during the FLW Outdoors Expo if he is not fishing on the Potomac.
