Goodwill Extends Partnership with FLW Outdoors

FLW Outdoors logoMINNEAPOLIS – FLW Outdoors announced today that Goodwill Industries International will continue its partnership with FLW Outdoors. Goodwill Industries® will continue to collect donations at each FLW Tour event in 2010.  Sales of donations in Goodwill stores help fund job training programs, employment placement services and other community-based programs for people who need them most in local communities. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Goodwill, which has more than 2,300 retail stores throughout the United States and Canada, will have the opportunity to use the resources of FLW Outdoors to drive traffic and awareness to its locations. Goodwill will receive exposure and have a presence across FLW Outdoors’ various platforms including all bass and walleye events, and FLW Outdoors’ multiple multimedia outlets, including FLW Fantasy Fishing, FLW Outdoors Magazine, the “FLW Outdoors” television show on Versus and additional functions operated by FLW Outdoors.

Professional anglers Chad Grigsby of Maple Grove, Minn., and Wesley Strader of Spring City, Tenn., will continue to represent Goodwill on the FLW Tour and FLW Series. Grigsby has participated on the FLW Tour for eight years with career earnings of $438,098 and eight top-10 finishes. Strader has amassed three wins and 26 top-10 finishes in 13 years on the FLW Tour earning $853,863 throughout his career.

Goodwill will also receive the opportunity to set up displays to promote its job training programs and support services that aid people who have disabilities, lack education or job experience, or face employment challenges. These programs will be promoted at the FLW Outdoors Family Fun Zone and Outdoor Expo at FLW Tour and championship events.

FLW Outdoors, named after Forrest L. Wood, the legendary founder of Ranger Boats, is the largest fishing tournament organization in the world. FLW Outdoors has also taken fishing mainstream with FLW Fantasy Fishing offering the largest awards possible in the history of fantasy sports.
