Goodwill Professional Wins HR Award

ROCKVILLE, MD – The 10th annual HR Leadership Awards of Greater Washington recently honored Goodwill Industries International Senior Director of Leadership and Development, Dr. Jacquie Hamp with the 2011 Award for Strategic Alignment. The award honors an individual for developing and delivering human resource solutions that help the recipient’s organization achieve its strategic business objectives. The awards presentation occurred on June 14th during a ceremony in Arlington, VA.
Hamp took over the Goodwill Industries® leadership and development programs in 2007. She refreshed the long standing Executive Development Program and introduced two key programs: the senior leader program, which develops Goodwill® leaders, and the management development program, which cultivates new leaders.

“Jacquie’s efforts have greatly helped Goodwill agencies to develop strong leaders who are ready and able to help Goodwill grow its mission of helping people find employment,” said Jim Gibbons, president and CEO of Goodwill Industries International. “Under her leadership, 180 employees have graduated from our various development programs and are now helping to develop and train Goodwill managers in their local communities.”
“Jacquie is the true definition of the word ‘leader,’ and we are pleased to recognize her with our Strategic Alignment Award for 2011,” said Julianna Hutchins, executive director of the HR Leadership Awards of Greater Washington. “Not only has her work advanced the careers of those around her, but it has served to benefit her organization as well.”
