My Story: Alain Carrera

Centered white Goodwill logo on a solid blue background

I’ve worked in maintenance before, but I didn’t have the certificate for it, so I wanted to do things by the book. There is no greater opportunity for a successful future than having a certificate in what one does for a living.
Goodwill Industries of Northern Arizona’s (Flagstaff)  scholarship for the Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician Course (CAMT) program has allowed me to become a maintenance supervisor a lot sooner than if I had to start from the bottom.
I am the sole provider for my family, and this has allowed me to provide a better life for them. I was earning minimum wage, and probably would have continued to do so for a long time.
Thank you Goodwill! You’ve changed my life.
