My Story: Adelis Mendoza

My name is Adelis Mendoza. I am 33 years old and I have an intellectual disability. I live in a Caracas neighborhood called José Félix Rivas. I came to Goodwill Venezuela with the intention of finding a job, because it is very difficult for people like me to find a job. At Goodwill I found much more than a job; I made friends who continue to write to me, and met teachers that I remember with a lot of affection, because they trained me to face the situations that arise in my work. Two years ago, I entered the labor field in a prestigious clothing company, where my new colleagues received me with care and respect. Little by little, I have been learning to do all the activities that now come easily to me. I am very happy to get up every day and have somewhere to go to work, help my mother, and feel that yes, I can!

CASO DE ÉXITO: Adelis Mendoza.

Mi nombre es Adelis Mendoza, tengo 33 años  mi discapacidad es intelectual, vivo en un Barrio de Caracas llamado José Félix Rivas.  Ingrese a Buena Voluntad con la intención de encontrar un empleo, pues a las personas como yo se nos hace muy difícil.  En Buena Voluntad encontré mucho mas que un trabajo, allí hice amigos que me siguen escribiendo, profesores que recuerdo con mucho cariño, pues me capacitaron para enfrentarme a las situaciones que se me presentan en el trabajo y desde hace dos años ingrese al campo laboral en una prestigiosa empresa de ropa, donde mis nuevos compañeros me recibieron con cariño y respeto,  poco a poco he ido aprendiendo a realizar todas las actividades que ahora me corresponde hacer. Estoy muy feliz por levantarme cada día y tener  donde ir a trabajar, ayudar a mi mama y sentir que yo sí puedo¡!!!!!!
