In today’s world, finding the right job can seem hard. I’ve helped many people search for jobs, and one tool I often suggest is Indeed. Indeed is the top job site in the world*. If you need clarification on everything Indeed can do, this blog and the next three are for you! This first blog about Indeed.com and its resources will briefly overview what Indeed offers, including finding jobs, reading company reviews, looking at salary guides, building résumés, taking Indeed Assessments and using the Indeed Career Guide.

Job Exploration Through Indeed

Job Search Tool

With Indeed’s job search tool, you can customize your search using filters. These filters help you save time by sorting out jobs you’re not interested in. There are many different filters available, which we will cover in more detail in the second blog of this series. Additionally, Indeed provides an Advanced Job Search tool, a unique feature that you can use to refine your search even further.

Company Review Feature

Discover what it’s like to work at various companies with Indeed’s company reviews. These reviews are written by current and former employees, offering valuable insights into aspects like company culture, work-life balance, benefits and more. Being able to consider these factors is important when searching for a new job or career. To learn more, check out the blog post “Securing a Bright Career Future: 10 Key Factors to Consider.”

Company Reviews

Salary Guide

Many benefits come from using a salary guide like the one offered by Indeed.com. It can help you understand the income level you should expect from a particular job or industry. Remember that you shouldn’t just consider the salary or hourly wage. I recommend also considering the benefits package. Determine your desired pay based on what would enable you and your loved ones to have the best possible life.

Salary Guide

Résumé Building

Your résumé is often the first impression you make on an employer, and it’s essential to make it count. A professional-looking résumé can increase your chances of success. With Indeed’s résumé-building feature, you can craft an impressive résumé to help achieve this goal.

Indeed Assessments

Assessments offered by Indeed are an excellent opportunity for job seekers to showcase their skills. These tests can help you demonstrate the skills listed on your résumé, giving you an edge over other candidates. To easily access these assessments, go to your Indeed résumé page.

Indeed Career Guide

The Indeed Career Guide is one of my favorite resources. I have often used it for myself and to assist others. The guide offers valuable advice for individuals at all stages of their career journey. I hope it helps you as well.

Till next time, happy job searching!
