To elevate this traditional gift with a unique spin, take a look through the shelves at your local Goodwill store for a makeshift vase or bouquet holder that will make your bouquet look like a million bucks, while still being able to be reused and repurposed for years to come. I absolutely love the beautiful scalloped milk pitcher that this Goodwill shopper picked up for a $4.99 steal and used to store an arrangement of white roses. The large wicker basket is a lovely idea as well, get creative on your next shopping trip – you never know what you might find!

You don’t have to take a trip all the way to Italy to find a unique, hand-painted ceramic. In fact, sometimes you just have to go as far as the Goodwill homegoods section. I love the finds in this Goodwill shopper’s post, each tell a special story and can be used as the centerpiece of a unique gift for a loved one. This is definitely something I would have picked up for my own Mom if I came across it myself, given her Italian roots and love of Italy. As you browse the shelves and racks at your local Goodwill, think about what reminds you of your Mom or some favorite memories you have with her.
