Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, a day to celebrate love — whether for others, yourself or both. While it can be easy to get last-minute gifts — cue the cliche chocolate, flowers and card combination — it can mean even more to put a little bit of extra thought into it. If you’re looking for unique, budget-friendly gifts that can help you express your love for someone, check out your favorite Goodwill® store. Don’t forget to pick up a festive, thrifted outfit while you’re there!
For every milestone or holiday, Goodwill has something for everyone. Valentine’s Day is certainly no exception. In fact, Goodwill makes holiday shopping easy because many of the stores will organize the racks by color. I stepped into the Goodwill store in Chelsea, where I always find incredible designer steals, and was delighted to be greeted by racks of the prettiest pinks and purples.
Colorful Finds at Goodwill
Not only did Goodwill break out the “Goodwill Good Finds” section by color, but every other section of the store was separated, too. Whether I was browsing the dresses, sweaters, blazers, home goods or shoes, there were so many incredible colors and textures to choose from — think the softest pink sweaters to fun sequin tunics and the gorgeous racks of shoes.
Every section of the store had something I wanted — whether it was the small purple and pink vase to use as a centerpiece or this elegant black velvet Urban Outfitters midi dress with pearl embellishments all over. Of course, in a sea of pinks and purples — which are my favorite colors — this is the dress I fell in love with and bought for my Valentine’s Day date night! With this dress, I’ll be playing up all things pink when it comes to accessories, pairing it with a pink shearling coat and gorgeous pink shoes, also found on the racks!
Valentine’s Day Shoes at Goodwill
There are so many amazing finds for the picking when you shop at Goodwill. One of the best sections of the store I browsed was the incredible pink, purple and red shoe section. The last time I visited this location, I went home with beautiful new Kate Spade silver sandals. This time, I couldn’t resist those stunning metallic purple snakeskin heels!

As you explore the treasures on the racks and shelves, remember that shopping second-hand is always a win-win.
