Last night, we were deeply saddened and incensed to learn of another wanton act of violence against individuals in the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community. Today, we grieve and pray for healing, protection and justice and for communities to embrace the inherent and equitable worth and dignity of every individual in our society.

Crimes targeting the AAPI community have increased dramatically since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. Events in recent weeks have, again, revealed in horrific terms the devastating impact of racism toward members of the AAPI community.

Goodwill stands tall alongside all of those who denounce and combat all forms of racism, mistreatment and violence against our friends, colleagues and neighbors of Asian descent, as we do for all people.

Goodwill works every day, in communities across North America, to advance equity, helping people reach their full potential by empowering them through training, other forms of support and meaningful employment. We believe that everyone deserves an opportunity to thrive. We implore all Americans to lock arms in eliminating all forms of mistreatment, hatred and injustice.
