The Sunday after Thanksgiving is an amazing time to shop at your favorite Goodwill® store in preparation for the winter holidays. While other shoppers might be waiting in lines around the block to pay discounted retail prices, you’ll be browsing the racks at Goodwill finding unique, personal gifts and home décor that will cost a fraction of what other shoppers will spend, even with those Black Friday discounts. Not only is Secondhand Sunday better for your wallet, but it’s also better for the environment. Shopping at Goodwill reduces hundreds of thousands of tons of waste from entering landfills each year. By upcycling used or even new-with-tags donated goods, you’re able to support the larger community while also adding more depth and character to your home.
When you think about all Goodwill has to offer, it goes far beyond clothing. You can find much-loved items like books, puzzles, children’s puzzles and art work.
