10 Years of Goodwill On the Hill

On April 6th, 125 Goodwill advocates, including CEOs, staff, board members and program participants, met with half of Congress as part of the 10th anniversary of Goodwill on the Hill to talk about Goodwill’s efforts to help people find good paying careers. Join your voice with theirs to send a strong message to Congress.

Please join our on-going campaign as we ask Congress to:

  • Invest in Key Federal Workforce Programs: Goodwill organizations are a significant provider of job training, employment services and supportive services that help people overcome their employment challenges.
  • Protect Charitable Giving Incentives: Donations are the lifeblood of the nonprofit sector, and the charitable tax deduction is a century-old American tradition that encourages giving and should be protected.
  • Reauthorize the Career and Technical Education Act (CTE): In 2016, local Goodwill organizations helped more than 31,000 people to earn credentials, and as a result, increased their collective life-time earnings by more than $14.9 billion.

All you need to do to lend your voice and contact your member of Congress and let them know you want them to keep America working.
