Pick a costume, any costume. When you shop at Goodwill, you are no longer limited by the availability of certain ready-made costumes or by the funds in your bank account. You’re limited only by your imagination. Anything is possible! No matter how obscure your costume idea is, it can happen with a little help from your local Goodwill.

Take, for example, the crafty people who shop at Goodwill Industries of Hawaii (Honolulu). One family actually dressed up as Joe, Patricia, and two Waponis from the film Joe Versus the Volcano (starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan). This is a cult classic and one of my all-time favorite movies, so I was very excited to see it make an appearance in their Halloween photo gallery. What’s your favorite movie? I’m sure you can pull together at least one character costume from the racks at your local Goodwill! Why stop with just one, though? Group and couples costumes are even more fun, wouldn’t you agree?

Deanna from the blog The Harris Sisters knows what I mean. She and her husband John pulled together some dazzling Clue-inspired costumes for a party they attended.
