Stephanie separated from her husband and had a hard time making ends meet and supporting her daughters. She says, “It feels good to know all my hard work has paid off.”

Therefore, it is entirely possible to find a trendy shoe score at your local Goodwill store.

Make a Little Thrifted Fabric Go a Long Way

Goodwill is my all-time favorite place to buy fabrics. Why? Plus, you can buy bulk yardage without paying the price for it. At fabric stores, it isn’t unheard of to pay nearly $10 a yard, but at Goodwill you can buy six or seven yards for less than $5.
Jobs Talk at the Conventions: Is It All Just “Promises, Promises”?

At the Republican and Democratic conventions, we’ve heard a lot of promises about jobs — how many jobs each candidate will create, how jobs many they’ve created in the past, and how many jobs they have saved. So, is it–as one 1960s musical quipped–all just “promises, promises?”
