Goodwill Industries International Statement on Tragic Events a Goodwill of Southern Arizona Donation Center in Tucson

January 5, 2026 – Goodwill Industries International (GII) is devastated by the tragic events that occurred on December 26 when, according to law enforcement, two employees were robbed and shot at a Tucson Donation Center of Goodwill Industries of Southern Arizona, a member organization of GII.

We are heartbroken that one of the victims, Juan Cristóbal Flores, has passed away. Our deepest condolences are with his family and loved ones. Our thoughts also remain with the second victim, who continues to receive medical care, and whose family has requested to remain anonymous.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD) has arrested a suspect in these crimes. GII is grateful to PCSD for its diligent work on this case, and we deeply appreciate the support shown by the Tucson community, Goodwill Industries of Southern Arizona, and others, as authorities continue their pursuit of justice.

We are also very moved by the outpouring of support for the victims and their families from across the Tucson community.
