Programs At Risk Under “America First” Budget
The Administration released their skinny budget, known as “America First Budget” in mid-March, which was a rough outline of his spending priorities, and included $54 billion in cuts to over 60 programs. Now, we are hearing more details about the proposed cuts from the Administration in, “A New Foundation for American Greatness” which was released on May 23, 2017.

Few doubt that finding ways to save money in the Federal government's $3.5 trillion budget is possible. The real question is if the effort is a serious attempt to eliminate ineffective programs, rein in wasteful spending, and focus on those to truly have impact, or is it just a move to cut departments and agencies out of favor with whatever party is in the White House?
