A partnership between Pierce County Economic Development, WorkForce Central, and Goodwill of the Olympics & Rainier Region has come together through a CARES Act initiative to create paid internship positions for young people in the community.

As the San Antonio community recovers from the economic challenges resulting in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Goodwill San Antonio’s Good Careers Academy is collaborating with Project Quest to help provide vocational training to individuals whose livelihood was negatively impacted by the pandemic.

I was able to cast my vote last week, as Virginia is one of the 42 states along with the District of Columbia that offers in-person early voting. My polling place was fresh out of “I Voted Early” stickers, so I took a “Future Voter” sticker instead. Probably meant for children, technically I’m a “Future Voter” as well since I’ll surely be voting again in another election.
