There’s a lot we can learn from the Barbie movie, which has caused a resurgence of all things feminine and pink. A celebration of women, friendship, and life, the movie reminds us that we should be empowered to be strong in our beliefs and that pink does go with everything. As the Barbiecore trend continues to be popular into the fall, it’s time to think about ways that you can integrate pink into your everyday life, including home decor and party decor.

Fortunately, much of this is easily thriftable at your local Goodwill store on the home goods shelves – meaning you’ll be able to get more bang for your buck as Goodwill sells donated items for just a fraction of their retail value. Also, in the true spirit of the movie’s rebranded Barbie, your purchase will give funding back to the community to uplift other women through job training and employment opportunities so they can achieve their full potential.

Before you head over to your favorite Goodwill store to shop all things pink, check out this Barbiecore home and party inspiration below from real Goodwill shoppers! Don’t forget to tag @goodwillintl on Instagram with your own Barbiecore inspiration for a chance to be featured in a future post.

  1. Barbie-Inspired Tablescape

How could you resist attending this girly tea party when it’s full of cute food, home goods, and friendship? From the finger sandwiches to the incredible peachy dessert, I’m ready to RSVP yes! I love that this host was able to thrift a variety of cute plates, bowls, servers, candlesticks and teapots for the party. The glass bubble candlesticks really standout as a statement piece among the food and sprinkled flowers on the table runner. When throwing a party or putting together your tablescape, don’t be afraid to think out of the box when it comes to serving ware. Not everything has to match, and it can even be more whimsical if it doesn’t.
