While it’s rare for millennials to get excited about a style based on low-rise pants and crop tops – after being spoiled for so long with high-waisted denim and leggings, Gen Z has been a champion of the trend that blends pop culture, neon colors, and vintage tech advancements, setting them apart.

For many, June is a month-long celebration of the LGBTQ+ community, and how far we’ve come as a society in getting them the rights and recognition they deserve. Pride Month serves as an opportunity to raise awareness to barriers that the LGBTQ+ community still faces, especially in recent months with different legislation being introduced around the country. It also serves as a call for allyship for people to continue to support and embrace the community advocate for those they love.

To understand fashion from this lens was eye opening, and so is the fact that while millennials are eating up these trends that subconsciously make them consent to the culture around them, Gen Z is paving the way with their own style that disregards these trends and puts sustainability and authentic personality first.
